I’ve been loving collagen powder lately (I’ve been using the marine one by Vital Proteins), and it’s the perfect way to break my fast. Collagen is fantastic for skin elasticity and joint health, which can be a game-changer during perimenopause and menopause. I blend it with whatever frozen fruit I have in the fridge, a big handful or two of spinach, coconut water, banana, and lots of ice. Spinach and other greens are packed with essential vitamins and minerals, while coconut water is incredibly hydrating and rich in electrolytes. The banana adds natural sweetness and creaminess, making this drink just as good as a green drink you’d get from a fancy smoothie shop.

3-4 cups spinach

1 cup coconut water
1/2 banana
4-5 ice cubes
